At the DMS expo in Cologne (19th - 21st Septmber) Berlin-based Ovidius will exhibit their new version of the Technical Publications CMS TCToolbox. The powerful XML-based tool allows for efficient creation, management and publishing of information modules, which are later assembled to form different products such as manuals or training material. With TCToolbox 5.5 new functional extensions are available, e.g. crossTCT or the seamless integration of the translation memory system across.

With crossTCT the translation process can now be triggered in TCToolbox and status changes in the translation memory system across can be monitored. Once the translation has been finished it is imported back into TCToolbox. The seamless integration of TCToolbox and across helps customers streamline the translation process. Tedious tasks such as exchanging translations via email and importing the translated fragments back into the translation memory system are now a thing of the past.

crossAuthor - the new plug-in for translation-friendly writing - enables technical writers to interactively access the across database whilst creating technical content in XMetaL making sure that sentences and terms that have already been translated are re-used consistently throughout the documentation. With crossAuthor it is easy to maintain consistency throughout various technical documents.
