On 28th May 2009 Ovidius, Just Systems and AIM came together with a joint customer CSR to present an hour long webinar about variant management.
For many types of documentation, the growing adoption of XML as the source of content is well proven. From authoring through content management to publications, XML and the various XML based technologies offer control and efficiencies over the more proprietary alternatives.
Our customer CSR presented a captured demonstration of TCToolbox in action. Jacquie Rhodes and Chris Royston from CSR (Cambridge Silicon Radio PLC) showed how variant management allows them to customise documents for specific target group end users or specific product configurations.
Around 100 people from all over Europe registered for the event where together we covered:
- How XML can promote efficient content management using variant content;
- The principals of variant management; and
- How variant management is expressed in an XML based CMS.
