As subscriber to the Ovidius newsletter you will have noticed that we did not provide this service in 2006 because Ovidius opened a new office in the UK and created a new communication concept. Important information will now be released in German and English.

Klaus Fenchel joins DITA Committee

Klaus Fenchel, managing director at Ovidius, Berlin, joined the DITA Machine Industry Sub-Committee in October 2006. DITA is a topic-oriented and widely-adopted approach to XML-based documentation. As a member of the committee Klaus Fenchel will actively participate in developing DITA design principles for the machine industry.

Visualising complex DTDs

Eurocopter Germany is successfully deploying TreeVision - a software for visualising and analysing complex Document Type Definitions (DTDs) used in aerospace industry. The software was developed by Ovidius and allows the visualisation of XML and SGML DTDs and provides a feature for exporting entire DTDs as a tree.
