With many years of experience in the aerospace/aviation industry Koala Publishing specialises in aerospace-related technical documentation. The French company Sollan focuses on solutions in the field of content management.

Localization World 2007 - 19th-21st June, Berlin (Germany), Stand 16/17

At this year's Localization World Ovidius will present how an XML-based content management system can help you streamline translation processes and cut costs in your organisation.

Divide and conquer! Variant management with XML

The consequence of the need for improved and more selective customer relations is a louder call for a more efficient variant management system in technical documentation. There is more to this than just compiling an instruction that corresponds to a product's configuration. The following technical documentation variants can be identified: product, customer, country and target group-specific variants. In addition, any combinations of the above are feasible.

Standards are an indispensable instrument in modern economy. The first recognised German standard (DIN 1) was issued in 1918 by the German Institute for Standardization (DIN). Since then the German Institute for Standardization has developed over 26,000 German standards.
